Apogee for solo flute (2005)
It's funny where the initial idea for a piece comes from sometimes. In the case of this piece, it was an article I read dealing with the analysis of musical contour.
Technical details of construction aside, the work is largely a tender and lyrical work, inspired in some ways by Debussy's Syrinx.
